CEL Valdelacalzada

In the Extremadura region, the Valdelacalzada project stands as a true emblem of innovation and sustainability in the field of renewable energy. Led by VALSOLAR 2006 S.L., in collaboration with AAPS, this project not only represents a significant advance in the regional energy transition, but also stands out for its positive impact on the local community.

Clean Energy Generation

The Valdelacalzada facility, inaugurated on February 24, 2022, is a clear example of the capacity of renewable energies to supply our energy needs in a sustainable manner. With four photovoltaic installations of 100 kW each, supported by a grant from the IDAE, the project has succeeded in establishing a reliable source of clean energy for the community.

Commitment to Local Development

Beyond energy generation, the Valdelacalzada project has contributed significantly to the economic and social development of the region. The participation of 128 individuals and 11 SMEs in the local energy community demonstrates the interest and commitment of the local population to sustainability and care for the environment.

Institutional Support and Recognition

Institutional support, both at local and national level, has been fundamental to the success of the project. The subsidy granted by the IDAE has made it possible to finance the installation and operation of the photovoltaic plants, ensuring their long-term viability. In addition, the recognition of the project as a model to be followed in the region has generated a positive impact on the public perception of renewable energy.

Community Benefits

The commissioning of the Valdelacalzada facility has not only generated economic and environmental benefits, but has also strengthened the social fabric of the community. The creation of local employment and the promotion of citizen participation in renewable energy projects are key aspects that have contributed to improving the quality of life of the area’s inhabitants.

Conclusion

In short, the Valdelacalzada project is much more than just a solar energy installation; it is a symbol of progress and commitment to a sustainable future. Thanks to the leadership of VALSOLAR 2006, S.L. and AAPS, this initiative continues to inspire other communities to follow suit and embark on the path to a cleaner, more sustainable world.

Frequently Asked Questions

A local Energy Community is made up of legal entities involved in the production, distribution and use of energy.

According to the IDAE (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving):

“The local EC is a legal entity of voluntary and open participation, controlled by shareholders or members who are natural or legal persons, as well as local, autonomous or national administrators.”

  • OBJECTIVE: To provide the local community with environmental, economic and social benefits.
  • FUNCTIONS: Generate renewable energy through collective generation plants for shared self-consumption. They are also in charge of distributing, managing and maintaining production. In some cases, they provide other services such as, for example, the supply of charging stations for electric vehicles.

BENEFITS AND ADVANTAGES OF CELLS.

  • Addressing energy poverty, since more than half of the selected projects
are developed totally or partially in demographically challenged municipalities.
  • Environmental, economic and social benefits.

The citizen participates in the energy transition; users who belong to the CEL will be able to take control and will have greater responsibility for the self-supply of their energy needs.

In addition, investment opportunities are created for local citizens and businesses.

Both companies have provided the necessary leadership to bring the Valdelacalzada facility to fruition, as well as the technical knowledge and legal expertise to ensure its long-term viability and sustainability. Learn more about the drivers of this project:

VALSOLAR 2006, S.L.

  • It is a company with 100% Extremadura capital, created to promote the construction of photovoltaic plants, photovoltaic installations on roofs and rooftops, biomass plants, solar thermal and wind power plants, connected to the grid for the generation of electricity.
  • Know-how in promotion and construction of photovoltaic plants. As well as their management and maintenance, once they are in operation.
  • Commitment to long-term job creation and a sustainable future based on clean energy sources.

AAPS ASESORES Y CONSULTORES, S.L. service of excellence in legal and tax advice.

The IDAE has provided a crucial grant that has made it possible to finance the installation and operation of the photovoltaic plants in Valdelacalzada, ensuring their economic viability and contributing to the development of renewable energy in the region. Currently, we have established a new CEL in Valverde de Leganés, with a positive resolution of the IDAE subsidy on 06/10/2023, with more than 90% of the budget granted.

With this, the aim of Valsolar 2006 S.L., is to turn the citizen into the protagonist of the energy transition.

  • In terms of territorial distribution, there are already actions in 14 Autonomous Communities. Most of them are located in Catalonia (22%), followed by the Basque Country (18%), Andalusia (9%), Aragon (7%), Navarra (7%), Castilla la Mancha (7%) and Castilla y León (7%).
  • In EXTREMADURA, the first project was launched by VALSOLAR 2006 S.L. and AAPS with VALDELACALZADA SOLEADA. For this reason, we have established ourselves as pioneers in the sector.
  • CEL Valverde de Leganés, which is made up of 475 people and 13 SMEs, is currently being legalized. There are plans to build 8 photovoltaic installations with a total power of 795 kW.

From Valsolar 2006 S.L. we are in charge of making this project a reality from start to finish. We start with a preliminary study to determine the optimal conditions for the shared self-consumption photovoltaic installation (calculations and technical requirements, location, production simulation), as well as advice and processing of the IDAE subsidy. Once the CEL is constituted and the project is approved, we take care of the construction and subsequent maintenance of the installations.

Valdelacalzada has reduced dependence on non-renewable energy sources in the region, contributing to climate change mitigation and improving air quality. It has also strengthened the social fabric of the community by encouraging citizen participation in sustainable initiatives.
